This report is the result of years of listening, observing, and learning from the people who do this work every day. Over time, AHE gathered data from job task analyses and real-world EVS roles across health care organizations. Looked at what technicians are responsible for daily, how supervisors support those teams, and what managers and directors are accountable for behind the scenes.

Those patterns became the foundation for this competency model. It’s not based on titles or assumptions. It’s based on what the data consistently told us matters most—on the floor, in leadership roles, and across the organization.

The Result: Take years of information and turn it into something practical. Something that helps organizations write better job descriptions, train people more effectively, and have more explicit conversations about performance and growth. We created a valuable interactive tool with print versions for technicians, supervisors, managers, and directors.
