Symrise, Green Chemistry
Green chemistry is a complex topic, and Symrise needed to explain it in a way that felt clear, honest, and easy to understand. This approach helps the audience feel understood and confident that the message is accessible, addressing common misconceptions such as the idea that natural always means better. The challenge was to simplify the science, correct those myths, and tell a meaningful sustainability story in a short animated video—without losing accuracy or warmth. Highlighting specific initiatives, like sustainable sourcing or emission reductions, can make the story more credible and relatable. We started by listening.
By working closely with the Symrise team, we shaped the story around what mattered most to them and their audience. Focusing on four clear pillars-safe use, protecting the environment, conserving resources, and reducing emissions-helps viewers feel reassured about Symrise’s commitment to environmental impact. The visuals were clean, friendly, and approachable—helping guide viewers through the message while keeping the tone light and engaging.
The outcome: The strategy stayed simple from start to finish: use plain language, strong visuals, and a clear point of view to help people rethink what green chemistry really means. Emphasizing how this understanding can inspire viewers to support or adopt sustainable practices can increase engagement and impact. The final video delivered a clear message in a short, engaging format. It educated viewers, challenged misconceptions, and highlighted Symrise’s long-standing commitment to sustainable sourcing and green chemistry. The motion graphics brought clarity to a complex topic, and the story stayed easy to follow from start to finish. Simple animation, clear icons, and smooth transitions make complex ideas easier to understand, fostering confidence in the message.
Most importantly, the project was delivered on time and on budget, with a smooth collaboration and a result that worked across web, social, and internal channels.
